Dr. Callins’ entrepreneurial journey began following her work as a Speech and Language Pathologist and Director of Curriculum and Instruction for a private school. After the school’s charter application was denied multiple times, she was asked to serve as the new representative during the charter process.

Although she had no initial intention of becoming an entrepreneur or school owner, she pursued the challenge by rebranding and fully separating the organization financially and operationally. Within four months, she became the Founder, CEO, and Principal of Language & Literacy Academy for Learning, developing the institution’s name, identity, and structure by integrating her academic background in Speech and Language Pathology and Special Education.

Her leadership has been recognized through multiple professional honors. Dr. Callins received the Excellence in Education Award at the Education 2.0 Conference 2025, has been accepted into Who’s Who in America 2025, and has been selected to host a podcast and appear in a documentary episode sharing her professional journey, scheduled to air in Fall 2025.
